Motion Detector - 2024

All sensors and accessory components delivered with your CarPro-Tec are already programmed and fully configured.

General Information

Our special PIR motion sensor provides enhanced monitoring of the vehicle interior. During your stay inside the vehicle with CarPro-Tec activated, the motion detector can be disabled directly on the device at any time. The sensor features a 120° lens and a detection range of approximately 10 meters.

Pairing

Note before first use: There is a paper strip on the back of the sensor that you need to pull out to activate the batteries.

1. Place the motion sensor with the push button facing up. Press and hold the ACCESSORY button on the CarPro-Tec using a thin object (the ACCESSORY LED in the status LED bar will light up red).
2. Briefly press the button on the side of the motion detector.
3. The CarPro-Tec will beep twice when pairing is successful.
4. Release the ACCESSORY button.

Unpairing

To unpair already paired sensors, repeat steps 2–4. The CarPro-Tec will beep once and the red LED will turn off after successful unpairing.

Installation Notes

Choose a mounting position where the motion detector can cover the entire vehicle interior as the monitoring area.

We recommend screwless installation using the included 3M magnetic pads. Please refer to the installation instructions for 3M adhesive pads.

Finally, test whether the motion detector reliably detects you when entering the vehicle. If the red LED of the motion detector briefly flashes when you enter the vehicle, it has successfully recognized you. Please note that after a successful trigger, the motion detector will not confirm further movements via the LED for one minute.

Daily Use

To deactivate the motion detector during overnight stays or when staying in the vehicle, you can manually switch it off using the ON/OFF button. This button is located on the top of the motion detector. When switched back on, the motion detector will confirm this with a brief red LED light.  

Battery Replacement

If the battery level is low, the motion detector will start blinking.

1. Remove the back cover of the sensor by turning it counterclockwise.
2. Replace the AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
