All sensors and accessory components supplied with your CarPro-Tec are already taught-in and fully configured. Please use the CarPro-Tec quick guide for the initial commissioning of your new CarPro-Tec. These detailed instructions will help you with detailed setting options.
Reliable monitoring of water leaks
The wireless water detector 2.0 monitors areas such as the area around the shower tray, the area around the water tank and, for example, the area around the water filler neck. As soon as the spring-mounted sensor heads register an unwanted water leak, a fast, reliable alarm is triggered locally and an optional alarm is sent directly to your smartphone when the alarm system is active.
Initial commissioning
Before using the water detector for the first time, remove the plastic strip on the back of the water detector to commission the battery that has already been inserted. Then carry out your own function test by bridging the spring-mounted metal sensors with a moistened finger or immerse both metal sensors (only the metal tips!) in water. A signal tone sounds to confirm the alarm.
Teach-in
Note: All sensors and accessory components supplied with your CarPro-Tec are already programmed and configured.
- Press and hold the ACCESSORIES button on the CarPro-Tec with a thin object
(ACCESSORIES LED in the status LED bar lights up red).
- Trigger the sensor (touch water contact or metal sensors with 2 fingers) until a signal tone sounds.
- The CarPro-Tec beeps twice if the teach-in process is successful.
Installation example
We recommend screwless installation of the water detector using the 3M magnetic pads supplied in the vicinity of the following locations: Washbasin (kitchen/bathroom), shower and water tank (near the filler neck). Please follow the installation instructions for 3M adhesive pads on page 4.
The water detector must be installed close to the floor so that the two metal tips are in direct contact with the floor surface.
