All sensors and accessory components supplied with your CarPro-Tec are already taught-in and fully configured.
Please use the CarPro-Tec quick guide for the initial commissioning of your new CarPro-Tec. These detailed instructions will help you with detailed setting options.
General information
Our wireless siren can be installed both indoors and outdoors on the vehicle without the hassle of drilling or laying cables. It consists of a transmitter unit and the battery-powered siren.
The transmitter unit is connected directly to the CarPro-Tec inside the vehicle by cable. The rechargeable siren works autonomously for approx. 2 months without a power supply thanks to the internal rechargeable battery and is charged via the USB-C charging port if required.
Initial commissioning
1. Please fully charge the wireless outdoor siren before using it for the first time (see "Charging" under "Daily use").
2. Place the transmitter unit next to your CarPro-Tec and plug the jack plug of the transmitter unit into the siren output () of the CarPro-Tec (Fig. 11).
3. Plug the small white internal siren into the additional siren output of the transmitter unit (Fig. 12).
4. To switch on the siren, briefly press the "ON/OFF" button on the back (in the centre of the housing, Fig. 13).
5. Now mount the wireless siren with the magnetic pads at the desired location (see the following installation instructions).
After installation, carry out a function test by triggering an alarm to test both sirens for acoustics. If an alarm is triggered, both sirens will sound simultaneously. Please note the information on alarm deactivation with a sounding wireless outdoor siren under the"Daily use" section.
The toggle switch (Fig. 14) allows you to temporarily deactivate the additional indoor siren (extremely loud: 110dB) connected to the transmitter module at any time if required, e.g. when staying in the vehicle overnight.
Toggle switch left: both sirens are triggered.
Toggle switch on the right: only the radio siren is triggered (Fig. 14).
Installation instructions
When used outdoors, the siren may only be mounted vertically (white side up, red side down) on the outside wall.
We recommend screwless installation using the 3M magnetic pads supplied. Please observe the installation instructions for 3M adhesive pads.
Caution: For registration and safety reasons, the siren must not remain mounted on the exterior wall while driving (risk of falling off, possibly invalidating the vehicle's operating licence)!
Installation example
We recommend mounting near the body door at maximum height, as shown in our mounting example, to ensure quick and regular positioning on the magnetic surface.
Daily use
Charging the wireless siren:
Open the rubber cover on the top left corner of the siren. Underneath is the USB-C port for charging.
Use a commercially available 5V USB power adapter for charging. Charge the siren for at least 2 hours before using it for the first time (full charge).
Preparing for the journey:
Before setting off on any journey, make sure that you have removed the outdoor siren from the external magnetic surface and stowed it safely in the vehicle.
Alarm deactivation when the wireless external siren is sounding:
Deactivating an active alarm with the wireless external siren sounding differs from normal disarming. When the external siren is sounding, the disarm button on the remote control must be pressed several times within a time window of 3 seconds to deactivate the alarm.
