GPS Data is Not Being Updated

There can be two reasons for non-continuous GPS data:


Deep Sleep
The CarPro-Tec is in "Deep Sleep" mode and does not send GPS updates as scheduled in order to save power. The GPS position is only updated in case of an alarm or if the CarPro-Tec is moved (even by vibrations).

Border Areas
It may also be that you are in a border area and the CarPro-Tec has not yet switched to the new country. The CarPro-Tec will then search for an appropriate network. If the device currently has poor reception, the new GPS coordinates will not be sent until the device has better reception.

Solution
In both cases, it helps to trigger the vibration sensor by tapping on the device or restarting the CarPro-Tec. Make sure that the CarPro-Tec is charged. Tap on the device or restart it. Check whether GPS and 4G are being detected. The blue LED initially blinks during GPS connection establishment, and the green LED blinks first and then lights up when the 4G connection is established.

A new GPS position should then be determined. If this is not the case, it may be that the CarPro-Tec has poor reception at the current location. In this case, please test if the CarPro-Tec receives a better signal at a different location.
