GPS Data is Not Being Updated

There can be two reasons for non-continuous GPS data:


Deep Sleep
The CarPro-Tec is in "Deep Sleep" mode and does not send GPS updates as scheduled in order to save power. The GPS position is only updated in case of an alarm or if the CarPro-Tec is moved (even by vibrations).

Border Areas
It may also be that you are in a border area and the CarPro-Tec has not yet switched to the new country. The CarPro-Tec will then search for an appropriate network. If the device currently has poor reception, the new GPS coordinates will not be sent until the device has better reception.

Solution
To ensure that your CarPro-Tec’s GPS data is updated correctly, please follow these steps:

  1. Charge the device
    Make sure your CarPro-Tec is sufficiently charged.

  2. Trigger the vibration sensor
    Gently tap on the device to activate the vibration sensor.
    Alternatively, you can also restart the CarPro-Tec.

  3. Monitor the connection process
    Check whether GPS and 4G are recognized:

    • The blue LED blinks during the GPS connection.
    • The green LED blinks initially and then remains lit once a stable 4G connection is established.
  4. Check the location
    If no new GPS position is detected, please try using the device in a different location, as poor reception at the current location may affect the signal.
